From Pop-Ups to Permanent Hubs

Zuitzerland's 2025 residency and pop-up village ran over 3.5 weeks in May 2025 with a core focus on furthering the discussion around Zuzalu permanent hubs.

Zuitzerland brought together researchers, builders, founders and investors from 42 different countries to ideate, built and test a myriad of projects pushing the boundaries of technology and governance inspired by the techno-optimist philosophy known as d/acc.

For instance we worked on projected facilitating village life:

• a shared e-bike fleet,
• a private VPN,
• and coordination tools that made the village hum.

During Build Week 35 project across governance, pragmatic tooling, and long-horizon resilience have been submitted.

The verdict?

Strong community appetite to return (NPS 47) and a clear pathway from temporary residencies to persistent, interoperable hubs.
